About Me

Amy is a photographer living and working in Portsmouth and the surrounding Hampshire area, with some work in the South-West district, including Somerset and Devon. Her passion for photography was first sparked while she was at University. Since then, she has been very dedicated to the possibilities within the field of photography.

Her main interest lies in portraiture, with extra emphasis in portraits which use costume to allow the client to reveal their true personality or take on a whole new one. Amy likes to work with the natural setting and light on location. She often uses a documentary style to create realistic and where appropriate, candid photos. Her photography aims to represent the true nature of the person in the photo, emphasising their unique qualities and to celebrate what makes them who they are.

Whilst portraiture is the main focus of Amy’s photography to date, she is interested in all variants of photography and aims to explore as many as possible. Amy has completed a BSc in the Creative Technologies department of the University of Portsmouth. This has broadened her skills to television, film, editing and some animation and design.
If you want to know a bit more about Amy then head over to her blog, which she updates with her work and anything that interests her in the world of photography.

Testimonials

"Amy, as usual was a pleasure to work with. She was friendly, enthusiastic, organised and on time for the early start of 5am! As this was a video shoot, Amy was mainly left to take the photos as we filmed, as well as doing some location shots with me in the spare time we had. Amy had good ideas using the cast but also keeping with the theme and style of the video. The turn around of the pictures was fast and efficient, and I am really pleased with the photos and editing and will definitely be using them for my promotional work. I would definitely use Amy again, as her style is creative and commercial, ideal for all those in the music industry."

Her positive attitude makes for really comfortable environment (even for the camera shy!) and she loves to help you build on the photo ideas you have."
